Term Deposits/GIC's...(issued through Concentra Financial®)
Minimum deposit only $1000. Terms available 12 to 60 months and any number of months in between. Interest is paid at maturity for 1 year terms. For 2 to 5 year terms, interest is paid annually or compounded back into your deposit. Premium rates available only through the Credit Union. GIC's are non-redeemable prior to maturity. A deposit certificate is issued and renewal notices issued two weeks prior to maturity.
Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP's)...
Variable Rate Plan
- Your funds are totally redeemable for maximum flexibility and you have ready access to your money should the need arise. There are no management or administrative fees. Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours and without charge to the member. A premium rate of interest is calculated daily and paid semi-annually.
- Variable rate contracts are insured to $100,000 with each contract insured separately to the $100,000.
Guaranteed Investment Rate Plan
- Terms from 12 to 60 months are available. "Premium" rates are offered through the Credit Union.
- Interest earned is compounded annually at the guaranteed rate. Plans are issued through Concentra Financial® and insured with Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Tax Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs)
- Terms from 12 to 60 months are available. "Premium" rates are offered through the Credit Union.
- Interest earned is compounded annually at the guaranteed rate. Plans are issued through Concentra Financial® and insured with Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIF's)...The features of our RRIF plans are similar to the RRSP accounts. RRIF's are a preferred destination for RRSP funds when you are ready to receive income (or reach age 69). You decide the payment frequency and amount according to your needs (subject to government set minimums). You continue to maintain complete investment control as you choose the rates or terms that suit your objectives. See our RRIF calculator under "Financial Tools".
Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP's)...Both fixed and variable rates are available. Plans are available for individuals or families, and are eligible for the Canada Education Savings Grant.
